Installing Remote Print Center (RPC) Required Components

1        Download the .NET framework from Microsoft: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet-framework/net48.

2        Install the .NET framework following the steps presented in the install wizard.

Windows Firewall may block port 4545 by default. Remote Print Center communicates using Port 4545 through the firewall. Use the procedure below to open the port manually.

1        Open Windows Firewall by clicking Start > Control Panel > Security or Network and Internet Connections (depending on the operating systems you are using).

2        Open Windows Firewall. (Note that in some versions of the Windows operating system you will have to click Allow a program through Windows Firewall.)

3        Click the Exceptions tab.

4        Click Add Port.

5        In the Add a Port dialog, in the Name field, type Port 4545.

6        In the Port number field, type 4545.

7        In the Protocol field select TCP.

8        Click OK.

To verify the port is open, at the command prompt, enter netstat -ano. This will display a list of all ports in numerical order. Scroll down and ensure that port 4545 is open.
